Week 15 – The Power of Our Words

My dear friend and former Bible study leader, Edith McReynolds, may have been the first to teach me about the power of our words.  If I said something like, “I died laughing”, she’d correct me immediately and ask me if that was what I was trying to manifest!  To this day, I hear Edith’s voice in my head (even though she’s now living in another state LOL) when I say something that doesn’t align with what I really want, or with the Scriptures.

Week 15’s Master Key lesson was difficult for me to absorb.  I read it over and over and over.  Fortunately, the Fabulous Davene also recorded the lesson, so I played it over and over and over while doing dishes, cooking, folding laundry, etc.  But once I GOT IT, it was so awesome!

There is SO much “meat” in this lesson, but let me focus on this:  Our words are POWERFUL!

Haanel writes, in 15-20:  “…we know that the word is a thought form and a sentence is a combination of thought forms, therefore, if we wish our ideal to be beautiful or strong, we must see that the words out of which this temple will eventually be created are EXACT, that they are put together CAREFULLY, and because accuracy in building words and sentences is the highest form of architecture in civilization and is a passport to success.”  [emphasis mine]

and in 15-22: “Words may become mental places that will live forever, or they may become shacks which the first breeze will carry away.”

Wow.

PowerofWords

What kind of world are we building with our words?  How are we programming our children to think of themselves?  How do we speak about ourselves?  Our spouse?  Our finances?

Again, thanks to Edith, this is not a new concept for me, but it reverberated LOUDLY with this lesson!  So what do the scriptures have to say on this topic?  Amazing stuff.   Powerful stuff!

Mark 11:23  Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.

Matthew 15:11 It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”

Luke 6:45  A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart[a] brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks  [which brings us back to controlling our thoughts, ala the 7 day mental diet, aka 7 Days to a New You, available for free in the sidebar, over there ====> ]

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Matthew 12:36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak [YIKES!!!]

Matthew 12:37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.  [Helpful hint:  choose life 🙂 ]

Proverbs 15:4  A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

I could continue, but you either get the point or you don’t. What-Your-Words-Quote-300x199 We must control our thoughts, because our thoughts will become words – and words have POWER!!   This is SO key to a successful life and a happy family, I pray you all get it and set a guard on your lips.  🙂

Be blessed and be a blessing,

Karen

Week 14 – We’re on a break! :)

We had a week off from the live webinars and such this week and instead, we were assigned to watch a movie (or two or three) from a prescribed list.

We had a hard time finding some of them, but we found and watched two while we stayed indoors avoiding the floods and mud and muck to the extent possible.

The first was Cool Runnings, about the Jamaican bobsled team getting into the Olympics.  The movie was touching and funny – but showed so clearly the various things we’ve been focused on in the MasterKey Experience!  They had a clear purpose backed by a burning desire.  They developed a plan of action.  They persisted.  They had a mastermind!  They didn’t win – but they were wildly successful anyway.  What an inspiration!

We also watched October Sky, which followed the story of some teens from a coal mining town on their quest to build a rocket (many, actually).  Again, the true story was inspiring, but it once again highlighted the basics of our MasterKey studies.  The young men had a clear purpose and they were all in harmony.  They had a burning desire.  They developed a plan of action and a mastermind group.  Even when things went badly, they were persistent.  One of the best parts of the movie was the “where are they now” clips at the end – showing that each of them had become successful beyond their wildest dreams.  They didn’t say this, but I know that they were successes because they learned to apply the lessons taught them as teens.

Great homework assignment, Mark and Davene!  It was one my husband shared with me and enjoyed as much as I did!

Blessings –

Karen

Week 13 – An MKMMA Chistmas

I hope that everyone has had a blessed holiday season, whatever holiday(s) you celebrate, but for us, it’s all about the birth of a King long ago and far away.

It’s been a tough time in Eastern Oklahoma (and elsewhere) due to crazy weather – record warmth followed by record blasting rain and floods, while others dealt with tornadoes, hail, sleet and copious amounts of ice.

Here at our farm, we had 9.7 inches of rain the weekend following Christmas with flash floods all around.  That’s 1/4 of our “normal” rainfall for the year in just two days.  But normal doesn’t count for much as far as 2015 went as we had nearly double the normal annual rainfall, topping out the year at more than 80 inches!!

So, how does this pertain to MKMMA, you might wonder?  Scroll 3 was particular fitting – I persist.  I win.  Day to day chores were hard to do with that amount of rain (and corresponding mud!!) but one step at a time, we got the animals fed, got the eggs gathered, and we stayed warm and dry when so many did not.

We are focusing on gratitude everyday… and even in the midst of the storm, I can find SO many things for which to be grateful!  Including the fact that we didn’t have to water ANY of the animals.  Hahahaha!

Blessings to you all –

Karen

Week 12 – Why How We Think is Literally a Matter of Life and Death

The nearest metropolitan area to my ranch is Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Disturbingly, the Tulsa Metro is experiencing a huge upswing in the number of infants and toddlers dead at the hands of an adult. (Tragically, there have been more since that story ran).  Most of these children died horrible deaths at the hands of mom’s new boyfriend.  I’ve read statistics that say a child is

Nevaeh Brokens-Roldan, killed by mom's boyfriend. May she R.I.P.

Nevaeh Brookens-Roldan, killed by mom’s boyfriend. May she R.I.P.

eight times more likely to be sexually abused or killed at the hands of an unrelated male – especially when the child is left in the care of said adult male.  I am not an expert on child abuse, and don’t want to debate statistics.  I am, however, an expert on living through the death of a child – and the life-long emotional aftermath of grief that most people don’t see.  I can’t even begin to think how that is compounded when the child was murdered.

How does this relate to the MasterKey experience?  Boiling the MKMMA course down, the main point is to learn to become a self-directed thinker.  Thoughts are the ultimate cause of everything around us.  We can learn to control and direct our thoughts to be successful in life.  In truth, to have any sort of lasting success in life, we MUST learn to control and direct our thoughts!  Part of the MKMMA course is an assignment to do The Seven Day Mental Diet.   I’m still working on that – but have found that life really DOES change when we change how we think.

In MasterKey 12-11, Haanel says, “Of course, worry, fear, and all negative thoughts produce a crop after their kind; those who harbor thoughts of this kind must inevitably reap what they have sown.”  Sadly, this truth is playing out on our evening news with a crop of dead babies.  Moms who do not value themselves (or, it appears, their children) are more concerned about having a man in their lives and their bed than considering what they can do to improve their lives – and consequently, the lives of their children.  Instead, they bring in men with anger issues (and addictions to anger peptides, in addition to possible other addictions) and end up losing the most precious gift in their life – their baby.

peptides

It is impossible to enumerate the number of lives altered forever by one of these events.  Obviously, the child.  Mom.  Dad.  The Perpetrator.  The Grandparents.  Aunts.  Uncles.  Siblings.  The ripples in the pond just keep expanding – all due to one cause:  the inability of individuals to control their thoughts and actions.

While my MKMMA classmates and I are learning to be expert operators of the greatest mechanism on earth – the mind – in order to achieve our goals and “be a success” in life, it should never be forgotten that NOT HAVING these skills can literally be a matter of life and death.

It is my sincere hope that the ripples in the pond caused by MKMMA may continue to expand…. ripple effectlearning to control our thoughts isn’t always about success.  At the root, it is about survival.

May God minister abundant grace into the lives of all those people affected by these tragedies.

Blessings,

Karen

Week 11 – The Hero’s Journey – The Road to Success

This has been an awesome week.  The time constraints of the holiday week have lifted.  I seem to be “on top of things.”  I don’t look at my email, or Facebook, or Twitter until I’ve done my morning rituals: Pray, read Scroll III, read my Blueprint Builder, my Definite Major Purpose, my promises, my service card, my movie card, and make my affirmations – most 25 times each, (Do it now, I can be what I will to be, I can do this, I am a talented writer, and I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy.) I then read the assigned lesson in Charles Haanel’s The Masterkey System.  I meditate for 15 – 20 minutes, and then I do my Qi Gong exercises.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong

When the above tasks are done, I write for several hours focusing on the promises I’ve made to myself in my Plan of Action.  By this time, it might be near 11 A.M. and I will then open my email and focus on my social media commitments.  I love keeping busy.

I also love connecting Haanel to Mandino.  Haanel writes, “…the thought which we entertain brings to us certain friendships…and these in turn bring about conditions and environment, which in turn are responsible for the conditions of which we complain.”  Mandino says it a bit differently.  He writes in Scroll III, “I will hear not those who weep and complain for their disease is contagious.”  Both of these quotes mean to me simply, “Be careful who your friends are.”

On Wednesday, I highlighted an entire page of Haanel, (sentences 30 – 35).  What’s the point of highlighting if you’re going to highlight every word?

In Og Mandino’s Scroll III, we are focusing on persistence.  I will never give up.  Mandino writes, “Always I will take another step.  If that is of no avail, I will take another, and yet another.” There’s no doubt that I am on the road to success.

MasterKey Week 10

Featured blogger this week is Darren Neilson.  His blog can be found at http://masterkeyrobertdarrenneilson.com/

And now, Darren……..

What is Wealth
MasterKey Experience Q and A
MasterKey Experience Part 10

If you get a thorough understanding of the thought contained in Part Ten, you
will have learned that nothing happens without a definite cause. You will be
enabled to formulate your plans in accordance with exact knowledge. You will
know how to control any situation by bringing adequate causes into play.
When you win, as you will, you will know exactly why. What is Wealth MKE Q and A
The ordinary man, who has no definite knowledge of cause and effect, is
governed by his feelings or emotions. What is Wealth MKE Q and A
He thinks chiefly to justify his action. If he fails as a businessman, he says that
luck is against him. If he dislikes music, he says that music is an expensive
luxury. If he is a poor office man, he says that he could succeed better at
some outdoor work. If he lacks friends, he says his individuality is too fine to
be appreciated. What is Wealth MKE Q and A
He never thinks his problem through to the end. In short, he does not know
that every effect is the result of a certain definite cause, but he seeks to
console himself with explanations and excuses. He thinks only in self-defence.
On the contrary, the man who understands that there is no effect without an
adequate cause thinks impersonally. He gets down to bedrock facts regardless
of consequences. He is free to follow the trail of truth wherever it may lead. He
sees the issue clear to the end, and he meets the requirements fully and fairly,
and the result is that the world gives him all that it has to give, in friendship,
honor, love and approval. What is Wealth MKE Q and A

What is Wealth MKE Q and A

Week 10, MasterKey Experience
What is Wealth MKE Q and A

1. Q: What is Wealth?
A: Wealth is the offspring of power.

2. Q: Of what value are possessions?
A: Possessions are of value only as they confer power.

3. Q: Of what value is a knowledge of cause and effect?
A: It enables men to plan courageously and execute fearlessly.

4. Q: How does life originate in the inorganic world?
A: Only by the introduction of some living form. There is no other way.

5. Q: What is the connecting link between the finite and the Infinite?
A: Thought is the connecting link.

6. Q: Why is that so?
A: Because the Universal can manifest only through the individual.

7. Q: Upon what does causation depend?
A: Upon polarity; a circuit must be formed; the Universal is the positive side of the battery
of life, the individual is the negative, and thought forms the circuit.

8. Q: Why do many fail to secure harmonious conditions?
A: They do not understand the law; there is no polarity; they have not formed the circuit.

9. Q: What is the remedy?
A: A conscious recognition of the law of attraction with the intention of bring it into existence for a definite purpose.

10. Q: What will be the result?
A: Thought will correlate with its object and bring it into manifestation, because thought is a product of the spiritual man, and spirit is the creative Principle of the Universe.

On the home front

What a week of ups and downs, {As a White/Yellow color if ya wanna know more about color codes have a look here Click Here}. Any ways, my main motive is Peace. You would think this is a good think BUT the problem is that if there is no peace, there is no balance or harmony. Well living with a household of reds and blues is proving to be quite a challenge. But that is what The MasterKey Experience is for. In the past I would have gone into a venting rampage. Well I would like to say I did NOT blow up this time, I just use the previous lessons and was able to substitute out the bad feelings with something positive.

So have a look here for more on how to find Peace and Harmony for your life.

Week 9 – Gratitude Sprouts Growth

This week, I’m featuring a great blog from one of my classmates, Dennis Goff.  You can find his blog at http://masterkey.peakboomers.com/

And with no further adieu…………..

Gratitude unfolds quickly.  I knew this adventure was about retraining my brain – what I didn’t know was my emotions would bubble up (and over) as I immersed myself in the wisdom of the ages from Haanel, Mandino, Emerson, Hill (and even youngsters like Mark &  Devene).

Think!  OK, I can do that.  Now add feeling to the thought. Well, that’s a little harder.  Follow your heart to uncover your purpose.  Now, that’s not easy!  But it’s essential for growth and once you get it nailed… it inspires you to take action.

When you take inspired action, the results are always predictable…

Seems easy eh?  It’s NOT!

Musings this week with my MKMMA Experience have a different twist…

Think DifferentlyThe past 3 lessons from Haanel have tied together Ideation, Visualization and Manifestation with clarity and outlined exactly how attain the results we want in life.

Since it’s a universal law and perfectly predictable (with practice), I’m wondering, where has my head been for the last decade?

Good question…

Only one answer works: “Get over it and move on”.
Think differently, take different action, get different results.

Thanks Einstein! I get it!  Not insane tho’-  maybe a little crazy according to my favourite pirate.

“If we weren’t all a little crazy we’d go insane…”  – Jimmy Buffet

I admit it’s been hard work shutting out all the distractions to focus my thoughts on this course material, but I’ve been persistent (or maybe it’s my stubbornness) with the exercises and it’s working. Habits not serving me have been replaced with new activity to launch me towards my goals and this new activity is slowly transforming into good habits.

My new best friend Og Mandino would love me for this ‘cuz…

It’s exactly as Mandino and Haanel predicted. Imagine that!

Do Affirmations Work?

Let’s face it… self-talk is something we are all good at, right?  After all, since thoughts are cause and results are the effect… our current life is a work of art and science we created with our past thoughts. And who do we have to thank or blame for that?

Yup! the hero or culprit is the guy or gal in the mirror. Anyway you slice it – that’s the truth.

At first I accepted this truth with emotional reluctance because it reveals I am the only one responsiblefor what I am experiencing in my life right now.  And it’s not where I wanted to be at this point in my life.  Of course, I wanted to blame the outside world including the economy and various other circumstances for my results.

But as I’ve discovered, it’s an inside job. Period.  My self talk from the past had caught up to me.  I manifested precisely the persistent focus of my dominant thoughts.

We all know this little gem tho’ and just don’t want to admit it, because then we’d have to do something about it.  And our ego keeps pulling us back to the comfort zone where results are familiar even if they are what we don’t want.

affirmationsWhat’s the solution?

Stop listening to the parrot on my shoulder and kick the monkey off my back for starters!

Then start talking to myself with a new vocabulary so I affirm what I want my life to look like on my new blueprint. And keep chipping away at the concrete.

More on the Power of Affirmations in another post. In the meantime… keep adding colour to your life!

Gratitude Grows With Giving

I am grateful for my opportunity to be on this exciting adventure with all of you.

My experiences in the MKMMA course over the past two months have been enlightening and encouraging and prove to me the glimmering light at the end of the tunnel is NOT a train.  It’s a shining light from those who have gone before me to embrace this wisdom and are now helping me understand how to implement correct ways of thinking to manifest my true desires.

I’m referring to the bright light shining from caring stalwarts like Mark and Devene, Trish, Derek, the certified guides, the entire digital connection teams and many others in the Alliance who give so much to the community every day.

Thank you all! I appreciate you!

Dennis Goff

Week 8 — Getting creative!!

I have enjoyed the recent assignments, all designed to get the message “hammered home” through multiple channels into my subconscious.  Writing the “press release” (an interview from the future about looking back at my success)………. the movie poster (a collage of images I want in my future, which match my DMP and “press release”)…… vision board 20151105  and now the recording(s) of me reading my DMP, my blueprint builder, the Law of Giving, etc.  All of these with an instrumental music tract in the background (and all at 60 bmp, the best for subconscious learning!)

I’ve made several recordings and have several more in mind as time allows!  Love this stuff – and I am giving myself lots of pats on the back, which seems fitting since one of my PPNs is “recognition for creative expression”.  Only my husband has seen the poster and heard my recordings, but he gave me positive feedback.  Yay!!

Yesterday, I realized I had another tool at my disposal which I hadn’t used in a long time.  It’s some subliminal message software I bought several years ago from an outfit called “Think Right Now”.  You load affirmations into it and turn it on and while you’re working at the computer, it flashes messages onto the screen – very brief and very transparent, but Subby picks up on them.  So one of my tasks for this week will be to load the software with my DMP, my PPNs, Law of Giving, and my plan of action steps!

It will be interesting to see if Mark J has something like this coming in future weeks, but I’m going to jump the gun if so.  🙂

PS – Mark J wants us to have no TV and no internet this week – so don’t tell him you saw me here!!  LOL!!

Week 7 – The never ending 7 day diet?

The 7 day mental diet is hard work!  Part of the difficulty is just maintaining the viewpoint of the observer.  We simply are not used to examining every thought we have!

My first two days went swimmingly – which was a bit of a surprise, especially when the second day involved a 60 mile trip diagonally across the Tulsa metro area during the worst of rush hour traffic.  Nary a harsh thought toward another driver was quite an accomplishment – and one I silently celebrated.

So what through me off track the worst?  One of our dogs – McKenzie – went out and somewhere on the farm found cockle burrs AND ROLLED IN THEM!!!  In her long fur, that was quite a mess, and one I did not enjoy in the least.

It went like this…. pick out a burr, realize I was entertaining negative thoughts, restart my mental diet.  Pick out a burr, realize I was entertaining negative thoughts, restart my mental diet.  Pick out a burr, realize I was entertaining negative thoughts, restart my mental diet.   It wasn’t long until I realized the futility of restarting in the midst of the burrs…. and that gave me a sense of freedom.  I cussed the dog.  I cussed the burrs. I went into Alliances and posted that I was cussing the dog.  LOL  And then, when I was done picking burrs and cussing the dog under my breath, I was free to start over for real.

I’ve had to restart several times a day since, but am able to keep my sense of humor (even about the burrs)…. but I have to wonder, how long will it take me to make it seven whole days without entertaining a negative thought????

And thus we have the title for this post.  LOL

Week 6 – the toughest week for me so far

I’m not sure exactly why, but this week was SO hard for me.  I didn’t get many of my readings done and felt generally like a failure – Subby rearing her head???

I *did* get my movie poster assignment finished and am extra happy with it – so I guess I’m giving myself recognition for creative expression which is one of my two personal needs.  Get it where ya can!

In other news – I refuse – REFUSE – to quit.  Today, I begin a new life.
